Silent movie night

We went to a bar after dinner last night as there was a screen showing silent movies with a live pianist playing the soundtrack. My Great Grandmother used to be a silent movie pianist many years ago. It was fascinating to see the piano player changing the tune and style of their playing to suit the action in the movie as he looked up at the screen. You even forgot he was there after a while as he blended the music so well to the picture.
