When we moved in this was the master bedroom. The photo below was from when we viewed the property. We decided it was best as Joplin's bedroom.
We had a big gaping hole in the ceiling from a beam put in to support the loft conversion so the whole ceiling had to be plaster boarded and plastered. We then stripped the wallpaper, got the walls plastered and Dan decorated.
My main criteria was lots of storage so a friend Dean designed and made us floor to ceiling wardrobes either side of the chimney. Dan then painted them a great bright red - learning from past mistakes and making sure we got fully wipe clean paint!
We were lucky enough to get a fab racing car bed from Freecycle - Joplin simply loves it!
I made a lamp from 32 toy cars!
A car race track was added to the wall and ceiling.
The room was finished off with a big J on the door with modge-podged maps covering it.
