Applejack at The Inn at Farnborough
I had a gig last night with Applejack - the acoustic duo I sing in with my friend Ryan at the keys. It is a lovely pub and was a nice crowd. The food looked lovely - will have to check it out soon! We tried out a couple of new songs including a jazz style version of Moves Like Jagger which went down well. (We only tried it at the soundcheck for the first time but I think we pulled it off!!)

Easter egg treasure hunt!
I have been collecting the egg shells for the last week or so and blowing out the egg instead of cracking them. Last night I cut up confetti from glitter strands and coloured paper and filled the eggs. I also put in a clue as to where to find the next egg with my dodgy drawings of trampoline, washing machine, bath etc.
I popped the eggs in their places the day before thinking we'd do it in the morning but as it turned out we waited until the afternoon (due to a trip to the bootsale!). When I made lunch I totally forgot that I had hidden a clue egg in the microwave!! The contents were a bit fused together when it broke and the paper was rather singed but it still luckily did the trick!
Joplin loved throwing and smashing the eggs and watching the confetti go everywhere! He also loved the treasure hunt aspect with the clues.
The treasure hunt ended up in the washing machine where his presents were hidden from us, Nannah and Grandad, and Auntie Jill and Uncle Derrick. It was lovely to do a easter egg hunt that revolved around the hunt rather than the chocolate filled madness my hungry boy would otherwise have been taken over with! The boys had some lovely Easter pressies including cookie cutters books and games. I wasn't planning on a pressie from us as I knew he already had some from family. After a find at the boot-sale though, I managed to sneak my 50p bargain past him and home to wrap, and he was very pleased with his Fireman Sam t shirt!

Biking in the park
We took the boys' bikes over the park today. Eden is coming along really well when he isn't distracted by chasing squirrels! He loves exploring and just heads off in the direction he wants. He has also just started climbing his bike up hills just so he can turn around and ride down them! Just like his dad!
Joplin has just starting coming out with some great stunts! He loves his 'stand up riding' and rode all the way home standing up. He is also really finding his balance and to my delight popping in a few ballet moves!! Check out his arabesque on this video.....
and the splits on this one! (nice crash at end!!)
And a bit of downhill from Eden...
Joplin was also really proud to be able to climb over the cargo net at the playground for the first time today too!

A picnic in the woods
We took our lunch to the woods today. It was great to be amongst the trees - the boys really love to be outside, especially Eden who definitely needs the space around him to explore.
After our picnic we had some fun with the clay I had brought along. I was rather proud of my hedgehog!!!
We then swung on the rope swings, helped build a den, and went on an adventure!!

Lego Room
The big hit of the week on our holiday last week was the Lego Room! I'm not sure which of us was the most into it!
There were competitions to see who could build the biggest tower!
Eden writing his name (or was it pulling down others!)
Spot the names!

A day at the Farm Park
We went to Hatton Farm Park today with my friend Jane and her little boy Joey. It was a gloriously hot day and the week before the schools break up so not too busy so we thought we'd make the most of it!
Tractors were climbed on....
JCBs driven.....
Eden didn't last long on this one!
And little boys had good fun!
Tractors were climbed on....
Some construction happened in the sand....
